ASIC center won Jiangsu "Blue Project" Technology Innovation Team of Colleges or Universities. It currently contains 34 faculty members. Among them, there are 11 professors, 12 associate professors or senior engineers and 26 of them received their doctorates. Professor Longxing Shi, the chief director of ASIC center, is an outstanding scientist, who has been selected to join the National New Century Talents Project, the New Century Excellent Talents Support Program of Ministry of Education, and the Leading Talent (first level) of 333 Project in Jiangsu Province. He is also a panelist of National 863 Program especially in the theme of Microelectronics Optoelectronics. Besides, he is a member of execution experts group for the National Joint Project targeting in Kernal Electronic Devices , High-end General Application Chips and Fundamental Software Products .
 
To serve the needs of the country and to contribute to the regional economic development, ASIC center adheres to independent innovation that enhancing competitiveness of industry thus making breakthroughs in key technologies. ASIC center undertakes 32 provincial research projects and 40 national projects, including NSF, the National "863" Projects and National Major Projects. ASIC center has developed more than 20 kinds of ASIC chips, over 30 kinds of system products, 14 of which have achieved good economic and social benefits. 
 
Among all the ASIC center’s research results, one of them won the 2nd Price of National Science and Technology Invention, one achieved the 1st award of Ministry of Education technology invention, one got the National Science and Technology Progress third Award, five of them achieved the Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Progress 1st Award and two got the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress 2nd Award. The ASIC center has 2 products honorably be certified as the national key new products. ASIC center owns more than 300 patents and seven books. It publishes more than 900 papers, 440 of which have been indexed by SCI / EI .
 
As an important component in the national innovation system, ASIC center keeps exploring new innovative mechanism, which combined industry, education and research. This mechanism has achieved satisfactory results.
 
In March 2002, ASIC center set up the Jiangsu Southeast University Integrated Circuit System Engineering Technology Co., Ltd (SEUIC) as the test base for achievement transformations. SEUIC adheres to the central task of IC design and embedded system design, focusing on the core technology of embedded system and providing terminal products as well as solutions with independent intellectual property rights. These products span a wide range of fields, including financial payments, mobile devices, IC design services, and so on.
 
In August 2007, ASIC center set up the Integrated Circuit and System Key Laboratory at the Suzhou Research Institute of Southeast University. As the main part of the Suzhou R&D Base, this lab focuses on three areas: Wuxi sensor network SoC design, power IC research and high frequency/ high power devices and circuits.
  
Moreover, ASIC center actively conducts associated R&D with research institutes and corporations. In 2007, ASIC center and Wuxi Guidongli Microelectronics Co., Ltd co-established the SEU-GuiDongLi RF Technology Associated R&D Center. In 2010, ASIC center set up the SEU-Shanghua Power IC Technology Associated Lab with Wuxi Huarun Shanghua Semiconductor Co., Ltd and the SEU-Zhongxun Intelligent Home Furnishing Associated R&D Center with Jiangsu Zhongxun Digital Electronics Co., Ltd, respectively. In 2012, the Hong Kong Division of ASIC center is established with Hong Kong Applied Technology Research Institute.
In order to keep pace with the trend of global advanced IC development, ASIC center bases itself on innovation, taking its own advantages to grab opportunities to meet challenges. Its goal is to achieve the interactive development of scientific research, technological development, disciplinary construction, faculty training and talent cultivation.
