Afterwards, Prof. Haimei Zheng gave a talk about “Materials Transformations and Dynamic Phenomena at Solid-Liquid Interfaces”. In this talk, Prof. Haimei Zheng presented the recent in situ liquid cell transmission electron microscopy studies in her group.

Prof. Zheng received her M.S. degree from Tianjin University and Ph.D. degree from University of Maryland, College Park in 1997 and 2004, respectively. She is Senior Staff Scientist of Materials Sciences Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Adjunct Professor of Department of Materials Science and Engineering at UC Berkeley. Prof. Zheng is interested in a wide range of physical and chemical processes of materials with a focus on materials transformations and the structure-function relation, and has published more than 80 peer reviewed papers including Science (6), Nature series (4) with more than 10 000 citations. She received DOE Office of Science Early Career Award in 2011 and LBNL Director’s Award for Exceptional Scientific Achievement in 2013.
