Research Interest

1.Novel electromagnetic band gap structures for microwave and optical applications, including algorithms and experiments studies.
2.Developing novel planar lightwave circuit (PLC) in optical communication, including theoretical design methods and fabrication technologies for PLC chips, such as splitters and microrings based on InP and SOI.
3.Theoretical investigation and Fabrication technology of Erbium-Doped Waveguide Amplifiers (EDWA), such as Er-doped Al2O3 and Er-doped Si-rich silicon oxidation.
4.Developing novel PLC modulator chips and devices.
Recent Research Project:
1.NSFC project, broad band slow wave circuit with EBG structure
2.Project of university-industry cooperation in Jiangsu Province, PLC splitters
etc.

 
Biographical Information

He was born in Yancheng, China. He received the B.S. degree in electronic engineering in 2000, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physical electronics in 2004 and 2008, from Southeast University (SEU), China.
In 2004, he began researching on photonic crystal in optical and microwave regime at SEU. He is currently a associated professor with SEU. He has authored and coauthored over 15 research papers. His research interests include photonic crystal devices, passive optical device and E-O modulators.
